Bristol Food Union and the Welsh Independent Restaurant Collective launch campaign to drive the public to ‘eat independent, support local’.

A group of independent coffee shops and restaurants in Cardiff has teamed up to promote #ContactlessCoffee, and encourage the safe and hygienic use of reusable coffee cups as lockdown restrictions lift.

Cardiff Life’s new virtual Business Clubs feature weekly insights from all sectors of Cardiff’s economic life. Featuring guest speakers from a variety of business areas, last week’s club focussed specifically on the hospitality industry.

Almost 14,000 plants, seeds and growing kits are being distributed during lockdown as part of a city-wide campaign to encourage people to grow their own vegetables. A team of 70 volunteers across 16 projects will reach over 3,000 households with seeds or plants, with more than 100 people joining online growing classes.

From Monday 8th June, one of Cardiff’s most popular pop-up kitchens will be offering frozen, handmade ramen kits for home delivery. Matsudai Ramen’s handmade kits will cost £7.50 and contain broth, tare (complex seasoning), aroma oil and a bundle of specially paired noodles.
